This beautiful pool deck was built for the Kurzinsky Family in New Philadelphia, Ohio. By building their deck with Ecolife decking, the Kurzinsky Family became the winners of the $500 July Ecolife Fish-More Deck Challenge. The lumber was purchased at our Carter Lumber location in Louisville, Ohio.
Congratulations to the Kurzinsky Family on the big win and we know they'll be enjoying their Ecolife deck for years to come.
And don't forget, if you've built your deck with Ecolife lumber, you too can win.The contest runs through the end of the year, so there is still time submit your pictures. Check out the Ecolife Fish-More website for more information.

Who's up for a party? Well then, Saturday June 23, 2012 is your big day if you live near Dover, OH or Sturgis, MI.
Our stores in Sturgis and Dover are each celebrating a "Great Store Makeover" on that day and you're invited. It's gonna be awesome. We've completely remodeled the showroom of both stores and you're going to be blown away with our changes. There are more products than ever before, a ton more power tools and lots of great displays so you can get hands-on with your new kitchen cabinets.
And that's not all: We're having an all day celebration at both stores! Live radio remotes, product demonstrations, huge discounts in-store, giveaways and more. Also, lunch is on us that day, because we're having a free mid-day cookout for everyone who stops by to see our new digs.
There is so much more I don't have room for here and each location is doing something special. Check out the details for each location by visiting these pages:
Stop in, grab a hotdog, say hello to Troy or Adam, see the new showroom and enjoy yourself at our "Great Store Makeover" celebrations.

We have some great news to announce: Many of our stores in Michigan are currently looking for qualified individuals to fill numerous sales positions throughout the state. We have positions open for Inside Sales, Outside Sales and Kitchen/Bath design and sales. You don’t have to have experience in the building materials industry, either. We’re looking for hard working and friendly people interested in providing great service to our customers.
If you think that sounds like you, or someone you know, you can visit this page for more details about our Michigan Sales openings. And if you’re really raring to go, you can apply for one of the positions here.
This is a big month for us. 80 years ago W.E. Carter opened the Carter Jones Lumber Company in beautiful Akron, Ohio. To celebrate the event, we've put together a great little video showcasing where we've been and where we're heading. Some of the older pictures are priceless.
Over 80 years we've seen a lot of other companies come and go, but we've persisted thanks to our dedication to hardwork and great service for our customers.
So, sit back, relax and take a few minutes to celebrate with us.

Would you consider your deck a disaster? If so, our pals at TimberTech would love to see it!
