W.E. Carter Scholarship Offered For 2006 - 2007 (Nov. 2006)
KENT, Ohio – Each year, Carter Lumber proudly offers the W.E. Carter Scholarship, named in honor of Carter Lumber's founder, W.E. Carter. The scholarship was established to recognize Carter Lumber's long-standing relationship with the agricultural community. Recipients are selected from eligible Future Farmers of America (FFA) high school seniors in three states.
W.E. Carter Scholarship - Ohio
Eligibility: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree at a college or university located in the state of Ohio in any major. A 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and Ohio residency required. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and financial need. Award: One scholarship at $2,000, non-renewable.
W.E. Carter Scholarship - Indiana
Eligibility: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree at a college or university located in the state of Indiana in any major. A 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and Indiana residency required. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and financial need. Award: One scholarship at $2,000, non-renewable.
W.E. Carter Scholarship - Michigan
Eligibility: Pursuing a two- or four-year degree at a college or university located in the state of Michigan in any major. A 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and Michigan residency required. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and financial need. Award: One scholarship at $2,000, non-renewable.
