Carter Lumber’s corporate office in Kent, OH serves as the Support Center for our 143 stores located across 11 states. As part of the corporate office team you will find yourself playing a key role in the operations and success of the entire company. Our office has a friendly, comfortable work environment.

Support the company’s financial stability and growth. Contribute your knowledge to areas such as: Payroll, Tax, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning.


Conduct store visits in your assigned territory to review policy and procedure compliance and assist in resolving any issues during year-end inventory process.


Support the stores by handling customer credit accounts and assisting customers with any issues that may arise. Be part of our team in Collections, Underwriting, or Accounts Receivable departments.


Perform take-offs from blueprints, design and manage estimate requests from stores. Be part of the team in Estimating or Drafting.

Human Resources

Support all of the company’s employees by providing your knowledge in areas such as: Recruiting, Employment, Training, Benefits and Compensation and Risk Management.


Collaborate with several internal and external partners to create continuous branding messages across the company. Contribute your creativeness in the areas of Advertising and Marketing.

Product Management

Stay current with product trends and develop financial plans, pricing strategies, and plan merchandise assortments for in-store execution. Contribute your knowledge in areas such as: Merchandising, Pricing and Purchasing.


Maintain company’s information systems and provide technical advice in areas such as: Network Support, P.O.S (point of sale) Systems and Programming.
