Over 90 years ago, W.E. Carter opened his first lumberyard in Akron, Ohio. He set out to run a family-owned business based on the core principles of hard work, dedication, and customer service, which laid the foundation for who we are now. Today, Carter Lumber remains family-owned, and we are one of the top building materials suppliers in the nation with over 190 locations across 15 States.
